Talbina - A sweet way to follow the sunnah

Talbeenah
Talbina

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, Whoever eats seven ‘Ajwa dates every morning, will not be affected by poison or magic on the day he eats them (Bukhari). If you aren’t able to eat ‘Ajwa dates every morning, we recommend that you enjoy some delicious talbina instead! They are also considered to have healing and anti-stress effects, as well as being sweet and very tasty! In this blog post about talbina, we’ll tell you more about this sunnah product and how it can improve your health.

What Is Talbina?

Talbina is a porridge made from barley flour, water and honey. It's often cooked with dates and raisins, which are also known as the people of dates in Arabic. The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) recommended eating talbina when sad events happen for its effect on soothing hearts and relieving sadness. It can be served hot or cold, with or without milk. Some people prefer it mixed with yogurt instead of milk. Title: How to Eat Talbina? How Do You Eat Talbina?: Many people like to eat talbina after iftar (the meal that breaks their fast during Ramadan), especially during Ramadan. People also enjoy eating it at any time of the day as a snack, especially after they have worked out hard at their local gym! One popular method of enjoying your talbina is by mixing it with milk.

When Should I Consume It?

Consume Talbina during Ramadan, particularly when breaking your fast. It will make fasting easier. For example, Abu Hurairah narrated that The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.) [Muslim]. The Prophet also told us that during an obligatory fast you should break it with dates. He said, If one of you is fasting, let him break his fast with dates; if he cannot get any, then with water; and if he has no water then with dry bread. Narrated by al-Bukhari. In another hadith related by Anas ibn Malik (ra), a man came to the Prophet asking him about making vows and fulfilling them.

Best Immunity Booster and Anti Depressant (talbina hadith)

The Prophet (S.A.W) was asked what was best for a person, and he replied Feeding on good foods and saying truthful things. Talbina is also an Immunity booster and it is an Antidepressant. So we should use talbina as one of our remedies in fighting depression and feeding us healthy foods that help keep us away from sicknesses. When you are sad or depressed, have a glass of Talbina it will surely improve your situation and make you happy again.

Also, it increases bone density, which can reduce cases of osteoporosis. It is also believed that regular intake of Talbina can decrease damage caused by free radicals and make skin more resistant to external factors. That’s why Talbina is also considered a good natural antibiotic and an immune booster.

Improves Blood Circulation: The Prophet (S.A.W) said If any of you feels drowsy while praying you should take a little bit of Talbina before continuing his prayer. It is also believed that regular intake of Talbina can increase blood circulation and improve cardiovascular health.

What To Do If I Hate Sweetness?

For some of us, it may be hard to ingest a substance that is actually very sweet. However, Talbina dates are an excellent alternative for its low glycemic level and high nutritional value. The talbina can be easily consumed by people who have health problems such as diabetes, cholesterol or those suffering from obesity. Just go easy on it so you do not get fat. That’s right! You see, consuming too much of anything is bad for you.

Using natural sweeteners such as dates syrup may help reduce the sweetness you’re accustomed to. The Prophet Mohammad (SAW) said: He who eats seven Ajwa dates every morning, will not be affected by poison or magic on that day till night. So start your day with a date! And no, we are not talking about those artificial candies you buy from a candy store. We are talking about real food here. Title: Talbina in Islam – How talbina helps in a healthy lifestyle?
